Limited Edition Copies
Before I even came close to finishing the game, I knew that I wanted to somehow reward the individuals who helped me make it. The usual way to do this was to create a special version of the game to give them, and I, being the unoriginal person that I am, couldn’t think of anything better to do.
I did however create a completely original box to put them in … something no previous NES homebrew had done. I went to my local Hobby Lobby and my local Michael’s and put together a pretty nice looking little box. Inside the box I cut up some foam core to house the cartridge and underneath the cartridge I hid the manual. If this wasn’t enough, I had a great artist (and friend!) Dave draw some sketches to line the underside of the box lid.
I made them pink as a sort of tribute to the lady frog that’s featured in the game. I put the game in special clear cases with a special “Lady Frog Edition” label and labeled them from 1 to 10. I even numbered the title screen of each of the cartridges.
The people that currently have these copies are:
1.) Diane (pooch)
2.) Brian Parker
3.) Ross Burdge
4.) Vince Clemente
5.) Dain Anderson
6.) Jason Smith
7.) David Fiondella
8.) Gary Radar
9.) James Todd
10.) Erik Hopkins
Many thanks to Dain Anderson for scans of the box and cartridge!
